Strawberry, Banana, and Date Smoothie

This Strawberry, Banana, and Date Smoothie is sweet, tangy, and loaded with 17 grams of protein—making it the perfect post-workout refresher or a satisfying snack to curb your cravings. The natural sugars and carbs from strawberries, bananas, and dates help replenish glycogen stores, which get depleted during intense exercise. (If you’ve ever felt shaky after a tough workout, that’s likely your body running low on glycogen—trust me, I’ve been there!). This is a great treat after a workout!

This smoothie also delivers a solid dose of potassium, essential for muscle recovery and preventing cramps. There’s a reason bananas are always waiting for you at the finish line of any race—like them or not, your muscles love them. I also blend in Greek yogurt and chia seeds for a protein boost, supporting muscle repair and growth when you need it most.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries: Fresh is the best, especially when it’s strawberry season. Frozen strawberries will work as well.
  • Banana: I like to use bananas that have brown spots as they tend to have more intense banana flavor
  • Greek Yogurt: I use Greek yogurt for its tanginess and higher protein count, but regular will do.
  • Dates: Dates are optional. It’s a great natural sweetener and a good source of potassium and fiber
  • Chia Seeds: I love adding chia seeds for additional protein and fiber
  • Milk: I use almond milk, but any plant-based milk works as well as dairy milk
